“When people learn my profession, many wonder if I’m analyzing them, like I have some crystal ball that reveals all of their hidden secrets. They are totally unaware that the profession has caused me to be afraid of what goes on in many minds. Thus, the crystal ball is always hidden. So, don’t be afraid; I don’t know.
I began writing about four years ago. I always had a vivid imagination that could and would display itself to my family, friends, and co-workers. When I’d complete my impromptu, I’d inform everyone that it was a creation of my mind and not true. However, given the circumstances, my stories were not always appreciated. They called it ‘lying.’
When I recognized that my daughter’s ‘lies’ (she was eight years old, at the time) were a direct result of misunderstanding the expression of my imagination, I stopped verbally displaying my creativity and began writing. Everyone around me was grateful. Writing gives me control. The characters do exactly what I say, and the story ends exactly as it should. At least to me, it does.
I enjoy interacting with people and I want to know what you think about the book while you’re reading. I invite you to share your feelings about the book, your similar experiences, and your constructive criticism. I want you to contribute ideas to the development of my next book.”
